Hopes for this Project

Throughout this project i will be setting myself two main goals;

1. To greatly improve camera and editing skills

2. To build an impressive opening sequence that i can be proud to present as my own work

If I feel as if I have met these objectives at the end of the project I will know that I have completed everything i attempted to achieve with this project.

Intial Ideas

Individual Proposal

Since the group have already decided on a rough idea for our opening sequence all proposals tend to be the same with slight variations. However my proposal is probably more action thriller based than other proposals.

Syopsis:

A young man is limping as fast as he can towards a gate from outside. He is wounded and obviously trying to hide from something coming towards him. He runs into his back garden and into the house. From here he runs upstairs and into a room to hide. He looks out a window and noticed the figure he was running from. He quickly tries to hide somewhere (under a bed/in a cupboard depending on location). As he is doing this a loud bang is heard which is the sound of his door being broken down or maybe a window being smashed. This man who stormed the house walks upstairs at a calm pace but with much ferociousness. Loud noises are constantly heard of other doors being slammed open until he finally enters the room the victim is hiding in. All sounds silence until finally the victim is grabbed from behind in a sudden movement.

This is aimed at young male/possibly female audiences aged from 15-25.

Shown here is how i imagine the victim being grabed in the final shot. It is at about 43 seconds in this clip. There are faded shouting noises and it is a very fastly edited shot. I hope this would be very effective in creating a fear factor for the audience.
